Exhausted!

I’m exhausted. Really, who isn’t right now at the most fun, stressful, overwhelming, time of the year? Sometimes I sit down and think, “I just can’t do it.” However, the other night I was praying about it and I very clearly heard, “Be thankful that you can still do it! There may come a day when you truly can’t and you will wish you could!” I am so glad that God doesn’t reach down and slap me upside the head sometimes. I’m sure it’s tempting…

So to all the mamas, dads, grandparents, everyone who are working hard to make a beautiful holiday, just trying to survive the day-to-day experiences of living, working to be together as a family, and/or praying for miracles, I see you and I appreciate you. I hope that you also hear the message of thankfulness that you can do it.

We have been so wonderfully busy the last 2 1/2-3 months that I am going to do a little video that shows you just a bit of all the wonderful things that have been happening with Patches Of Light! Thank you to everyone who has been there, thank you to those who have carried us when we were weary, and thank you to all of those who sacrifice each and every day to help others in need. Tonight, take a moment to sit down and have a cup of cocoa, a cup of tea, or maybe something stronger… And know that you’re not alone.

Our gala celebrating 25 years as an organization will be in May. The theme is what has been our theme for 25 years, “Believe in the Light, Be the light.” I hope some of you can join us as we celebrate 25 years of being blessed to serve others and 25 years of seeing the light in times that are often very dark.

Have a beautiful day, have a beautiful weekend, and know that tonight when you take a moment to sit and relax that there are others rejuvenating with you.
